As you navigate the complex and emotional process of buying or selling a home, nothing can replace the confidence and comfort that comes with having a skilled and knowledgeable real estate professional on your side. A trusted advisor that knows the market, negotiates like a ninja, and has your best interests at is invaluable.
There is a balance to be had though.
Real estate is first and foremost a relationship business...
But if you don’t utilize technology to simplify your process and automate the mundane, your business could suffer. Like many things in life, it’s all about balance.
Nick Baldwin, award-winning real estate agent, team lead and COO of the highly successful Lab Coat Agents, weighed in on this very topic recently:
“If you’re an agent today and you keep saying to yourself and to others, “I don’t focus on technology, I focus on relationships,” you’re going to put yourself out of business. Whether you want to believe it or not, relationships begin through tech and they are nurtured through it as well.
I wouldn’t have met my wife if it weren’t for tech. I wouldn’t have made the friendships I’ve made over the last 5 years if it weren’t for tech. I wouldn’t have had the sales and past clients if it weren’t for tech.
Don’t fool yourself. Tech isn’t the end all, be all. But it’s what allows you to create valuable connections at a higher level than you would have without it. Tech is the doorway to relationships.”
We couldn’t agree more. Technology should simplify lead nurturing and follow-up, and help you stay in touch with your past clients to ensure a healthy repeat & referral business.
