Now here—your gorgeous website + IDX search = value (& conversion)

August 9, 2016

Some things are just meant to be together, like your gorgeous website that so eloquently tells your story and the ability to search for any listings in the area.

Back in March we introduced you to the fabulous new mobile-friendly website designs. Well, we’ve just given your IDX search page a makeover too. It’s now easier than ever to give consumers the content they want—listings!—in a sleek, mobile-friendly package.

Before we show you the new page, let’s take a quick peek at the old one

If you’ve been using Top Producer IDX for a while, your IDX page likely looked a little like this:

Old IDX page

(It wasn’t mobile-friendly—taboo in today’s online world—or super easy to use. Admittedly, all those options are a bit overwhelming.)

So we redesigned it and came up with this

All they have to do is select a city, or type in a city, zip or MLS ID…

Search listings

…to display all local listings. All the same search options are available (customized for each MLS as before), but the less common filters are now available via the More link. Instead of having all of the options in their face up front (and making them click a bunch of fields to find anything), the additional options are there at just the right time—when they’re engaged and refining their search.

The new design appears flawless on any device, and the ability to save searches will keep consumers coming back for more.

Of course any inquiries about listings in the IDX flow directly into your Top Producer CRM account, so you can follow up right away, work your magic and land the appointment.

And consumers can sign up for the Property Alert service, where they can receive listing alerts of their choice—fully branded to you, of course. To make sure you look good, we’ve redesigned these alerts too:

What else has changed?

In order to make the search mobile-friendly, a few additional options that were available in the old IDX search have been removed. Don’t worry though, they weren’t needed to achieve the primary goal of your search page—to help consumers easily find their dream home on whatever device they want. For more info, we’ve laid out all the details for you in this article.

How do I set it up?

If you already have IDX on your website, you don’t have to lift a finger. The new responsive design is now available on your site.

If you don’t have an IDX page on your site yet, don’t fret. It’s easy to add one. You’ll also want to set up your profile—picture, logo, contact info—as this appears on your listings and any listing alerts that are sent on your behalf. (Psst—don’t forget to call us if you need help!)

That’s it for now, but if you’d like to know if Top Producer IDX is available for your MLS, give us a call at 1-800-821-3657. We’d love to help!
